This painting was created for a local artists' white elephant gift exchange. I wanted to share something which could be seen as a symbol of positivity when moving us into the new year. As the white lotus is received in many cultures as a symbol of purity, renewal, and enlightenment, I thought it was an opportune item to depict for an unknown recipient of the painting.
